Today on the Planted With Light Podcast, I’m chatting with Tauranga NZ based owner of Spongedrop Cakery, Danielle Cubis.
In this episode we talk about how Dani went from selling her baking at a local market, to where she is now – running a gorgeous cafe in Mt Maunganui, open 6 days a week. Dani shares the challenges she faced in the beginning of finding and developing a retail space.
Dani shares her thoughts on the health food industry boom, and where her cake business fits in.
We talk about breaking through self doubt and anxiety and finding confidence. Dani shares how perfectionism is still something she struggles with, and why it’s important to reveal your authenticity, to not be afraid to show a less than polished side of yourself and your business.
Dani also shares how it’s still hard for her to give up control of certain parts of the business. She talks honestly about relationships, and what really matters most in life.
I love Dani’s energy and her passion for what she does. I really hope you enjoy this episode!
