Today on the Planted With Light Podcast, I’m chatting with Tauranga NZ based event stylist & florist, Shaye Woolford from On My Hand.
Shaye left school at 16, and she’s been working since she was 14. In this episode, Shaye talks about the importance of finding wise mentors and figuring out your core values right from the very start of your business. How she incorporates sustainability into her work, and the personal touches she adds to give her customers really unique experiences.
We talk about how she initially grew her business in a previously unheard of market in Tauranga, and why she isn’t concerned about the Kiwi culture of ‘Do It Yourself (DIY)’.
Shaye talks about how she balances family life with a business, and why she is happy to have had kids at a younger age. Shaye shares some great systems she’s incorporated into her business that allow her to be a fully present Mum, Wife and Business Owner.
This episode is perfect if you are struggling to balance kids and family life with your career. If you have trouble saying no to people, Shaye has some really great advice. Please let me know your thoughts on this episode by leaving a comment below. I hope you enjoy! x
